BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Women's Basketball head coach Chelsea Stoltenberg announced the commitment of two student-athletes for the Beavers' upcoming 2024-25 season during the NCAA's early signing period on Wednesday, Nov. 8. Brooklyn Wood (Fond du Lac, Wis.) and Aubrey Heyer (Chaska, Minn.) have each signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Bemidji State and play basketball for the Beavers next winter.

Brooklyn Wood
Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac High School
5-9-Guard
Personal: Daughter of John and Jenna Wood. Born on January 24, 2006.
Wood has been a regular on the Fond du Lac basketball court starting and earning a letter every year besides this past year due to injury. During her junior season, helped her team defeat conference opponent Kaukana who was the No. 1 team in the state at the time. In addition to basketball, Wood earned two letters in soccer. She chose BSU because the players and coaches, along with the community all brought a family atmosphere. Also, BSU has a lot to offer to further her education and athletic opportunities.
Coach Stoltenberg Comments:
"We love the way Brooklyn can shoot the ball and help space our offense. She has the ability to shoot quick, difficult 3's. Should be fun to watch."
Aubrey Heyer
Chaska, Minn./Chaska High School
5-11-Guard
Personal: Daughter of Rigg and Sarah Heyer. Born on May 29, 2006 and plans to major in nursing when attending Bemidji State.
Heyer was a captain her senior season both in basketball and soccer. She earned All-Conference in basketball and soccer, while helping the basketball team win the Metro West Conference Championship three times. On the soccer pitch, Heyer was named the Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved and played for the Minnesota Fury AAU team for six seasons. On the academic side, Heyer was on Dean's List all four years, National Honor Society and Academic Letter for two years.
Coach Stoltenberg Comments:
"Aubrey brings so much versatility with her length and skillset on both ends of the court. She is a wing that can play inside and out giving us opportunities to mix things up next year."
