BISMARCK , ND. - The Bemidji State soccer team scored was
defeated 2-0 by the University of Mary on Sunday, Oct. 18
in Bismarck, North Dakota. The Marauders have now beaten the
Beavers in six consecutive meetings.
The Beavers had several solid scoring chances early in the
match, but were unable to capitalize. Mary picked up one goal
in each half to solidify a 2-0 victory.
No statistics were provided regarding the scoring for the
Marauders.
Freshman goalkeeper Kari Torgerson compiled eight saves in
the loss for BSU.
The Beavers are now 4-11-1 on the season and 1-4-0 in Northern
Sun Intercollegiate Conference play. BSU entertains the University
of Minnesota-Crookston on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at the BSU Soccer
Field. The match is set to start at 4 p.m.
