ST.CLOUD, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University football team fell at Husky Stadium Saturday in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) divisional play against St. Cloud State University, 30-27.

Bemidji State moves its record to 3-6 overall and 3-2 in the NSIC North, while St. Cloud State is 4-5 overall and 3-2 in divisional play.

The Beavers will be back in action in the comforts of scenic Chet Anderson Stadium Nov. 8 as they welcome Minnesota State University Moorhead to Bemidji starting the final two games of the season. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

Bemidji State Highlights

• The Beavers compiled 350 yards of total offense, including 230 yards passing. In the red zone, BSU was 4-for-4 on scoring chances compared the Huskies 3-for-4.
• BSU held the possession time in the second half as they were in possession for 16:21 minutes, including 9:08 in the fourth quarter.
• Starting quarterback Jordan Hein finished the day going 17-for-37 for 230 yards and threw for three touchdowns. Hein’s longest pass was a 46-yard reception to Alex Ziegler. Hein led the BSU run game with 17 carries for 38 yards.
• Ziegler’s 46-yard reception goes down as his season long beating a 36-yard reception earlier this season.
• Blake Holder led the Beavers reception game totaling five catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Holder put BSU on the board in the second quarter off a 17-yard pass from Hein.
• Tahi Nomane charted his third touchdown of his career with a seven-yard rush to make it a 30-14 game in favor of SCSU early in the fourth.
• With a kickoff recovery, BSU was able to put together back-to-back scoring drives in the fourth quarter to shorten the Huskies gap to 10.
• Josh Genske tallied his first collegiate touchdown of the season on a 10-yard pass to trail the Huskies 30-20.
• Leading the “Gang Green” defense was Troy Beckett with 12 tackles, including five solo. Beckett also marked one pass breakup. Colton Blascyk followed charting 10 tackles (5 solo), three tackles for a loss (-9 yds), one fumble recovery and one pass breakup.

St. Cloud State Highlights

• SCSU charted 416 yards of total offense, including 208 yards passing.
• Leading the Huskies’ offense was Nate Meyer as he ended the day going 11-for-22 for 256 yards and one touchdown. He charted a 70-yard pass for his longest of the game.
• The run game was lead by Donte Starlin-Merriam with 15 carries for 85 yards and one touchdown. He averaged 5.7 yards a carry.
• The Huskies spread their scoring as four different guys had touchdowns in their 30-27 victory.
• SCSU’s top targeted receiver was Taylor Berger, recording five catches for 129 yards and one touchdown.
• Brady Westart led the drive for the St. Cloud defense with a total of nine tackles, including seven solo. Westart also marked two sacks (-16 yds), three tackles for a loss (-20 yds) and one forced fumble.
