Box Score MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team dropped its final road game of 2015 at Minnesota State University Moorhead, 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-13). With the loss, the Beavers fall to 6-21 (4-14 NSIC) while the Dragons improve to 15-11 (8-10 NSIC).
The Beavers were led by junior Jessica Yost who had 10 kills and also made five digs in the match. Senior Kayla DeJong led the Beavers with 11 digs, while fellow senior Ashley Kiecker made 17 assists. Kiecker and freshman Kori Leist tied for the team lead with three blocks each. Junior Amanda Tronick added four kills and tallied two service aces for the Beavers.
The Dragons out-hit the Beavers .245 to .019, and had 48 kills compared to just 19 for Bemidji State. MSU-Moorhead made 57 digs in the match while BSU had 31, and the Dragons totaled seven blocks as a team while the Beavers made six.
Bemidji State will wrap-up the 2015 regular season next weekend at home by hosting the University of Mary and Minot State University.
