Box Score BEMIDJI, Minn. (Sanford Center) - Emily Clark recorded three points (2g-1a) and Sarah Nurse posted a pair of goals to lead the No. 2 University of Wisconsin Badgers to a 7-1 victory over No. 6 Bemidji State University Saturday at Sanford Center.
Kristin Huber netted the Beavers only goal of the afternoon late in the third period to break up the shutout. Wisconsin outscored the Beavers 15-1 in the regular season series.
Brittni Mowat started the game and allowed five goals in and made 22 saves before leaving the game after 24:58 of play. She took the loss and dips to 15-7-1 overall. Mackenzie Bruch replaced Mowat midway through the second period and made 15 saves on 17 shots in her first appearance at Bemidji State.
12 Badgers registered a point in the game, including five goal scorers in Nurse, Clark, Mikayla Johnson, Baylee Wellhausen and Rachel Jones.
The Beavers, now 15-7-2 overall and 10-7-1 in WCHA play, hit the road for a Jan. 22-23 league series at University of Minnesota Duluth. The Beavers and Bulldogs get the series underway with a 7:07 p.m. opening faceoff Friday before wrapping up the series at 4:07 p.m. Saturday from AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minn.
