BSU Volleyball falls on the road at Minnesota State

MANKATO, Minn. – The Bemidji State University fell to Minnesota State University, Mankato, 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-14) Saturday afternoon in Mankato, Minn.

The Beavers were paced by freshman Anna Averkamp for the second consecutive game after recording seven kills and hit at a .182 efficiency.

“We’re still learning how to hold ourselves to a higher standard of excellence,” said head coach Kevin Ulmer. “I see flashes of greatness with this team but also the opposite. I know we can get where we want to go but we have to stay on the course and trust the process.”

Sophomore Julie Touchett followed with four kills while Becky Schroeder and Mikhaila Ness each added three.

The Beavers will return home next weekend to host Northern State University and Minnesota State University, Moorhead at 6 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
