Box Score BISMARCK, N.D. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell to University of Mary 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-15) on the road in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action, Friday night. The Beavers (3-20, 0-14 NSIC) were led by junior Sami Leach who tallied six kills and added 13 assists.
The Beavers totaled just 31 kills during the match while the Marauders (6-17, 2-12 NSIC) tallied 52 on .328 hitting efficiency. Bemidji State had no answer for U-Mary’s Lauren Randall who totaled a match-high 20 kills and hit .543.
Julie Touchett, Becky Schroeder, Anna Averkamp, and Becka Cronin each tallied five kills in the match while Maddie Filipiak added four. Leach and Shelby Haney shared the team-lead with 13 assists each while Emma Hallmann led the defense with 14 digs.
Bemidji State continues its road trip by traveling to Minot State University tomorrow to take on the Beavers at 2 p.m.
