Box Score BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University soccer team is hitting the road, after winning two games at home Sept. 16-17, for a match up at University of Mary at 7 p.m. Friday in Bismarck, N.D. The Beavers will then return home to face Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference rival Minot State University at 1 p.m. Sunday at Chet Anderson Stadium to wrap up Homecoming Week.
BSU extended its season-opening winning streak to five matches, earning a 3-0 victory over Upper Iowa on September 16 and a 4-1 triumph over Winona State Sept. 17. Bemidji State has now posted five-or-more wins to open a season four times since 2008. A win this week at U-Mary will allow the Beavers to match a program record of six straight wins set in 2008 and 2010.
BSU has won nine of its last 11 road match ups dating back to the beginning of the 2016 campaign and is 9-2-1 in their last 12 matches at Chet Anderson Stadium. BSU has averaged 2.6 goals per game this season, with nearly a goal (0.778) per game over the rest of the league. BSU has also outscored its opponents 13-1 this season.
