Box Score ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell in three sets (14-25, 20-25, 13-25) to St. Cloud State University Thursday night to open play at the Huskies Classic. Senior Julie Touchett and junior Becky Schroeder led the Beavers (3-2, 0-0 NSIC) with six kills in the match.
The Beavers were stymied by the Huskies in the match and totaled just 19 kills and hit just .019 while SCSU totaled 47 kills and hit .236.
Touchett led the team by hitting .462 with six kills in just 13 attacks and committed no errors. Redshirt freshman Maddie Mackinac led the team by totaling 18 assists while senior Emma Hallmann led the defense with 15 digs.
The Beavers continue play at the Huskies Classic tomorrow by facing No. 21 Michigan Tech and South Dakota School of Mines at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., respectively.
