Box Score BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University volleyball senior Anna Averkamp led the Beavers with eight kills and three blocks as BSU fell 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-16) to (RV) Northern State University, Friday evening. With the loss, the Beavers fall to 0-18 (0-10 NSIC) on the season.
Bemidji State totaled 24 kills in the match but were out-hit by the Wolves (11-7, 6-4 NSIC) who totaled 38 kills and hit .333 (38-10-84) as a team. Sophomore Rylie Bjerklie followed Averkamp with five kills and paced the Beavers by hitting .308 while junior Meeghen Dahlager and freshman Lauren Sitter followed with four kills each.
Freshman Emily Wade set the ball for the Beavers' attack and totaled 19 assists and also paced the Beavers' defense with 10 digs for her third double-double of the season.
Sophomore Lauren Justesen added eight digs on defense while Averkamp paced the Beavers with three blocks (2s-1a). Bjerklie followed with two blocks (0s-2a) while Wade added one (1a).
Bemidji State continues play at home tomorrow evening and hosts Minnesota State University, Moorhead at 4 p.m.
