(Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium) -- Locked in a 1-1 tie at the end 90 minutes of play, Bemidji State University and Winona State University battled through two overtime periods, but were unable break the deadlock and the settled for a draw in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference standings, 1-1.
Anna Breffle accounted for the Beavers' goal, while Alyssa Stumbaugh stopped three of the four shots she faced in 110 minutes of play. She moved to 7-0-1.
The Warriors were first to strike. Riley Harmon scored her team-leading fourth goal of the year, unassisted, in the 26th minute of play.
Breffle and the Beavers came charging back to tie the match in the 36th minute of play. Freshman Miah Olson got the scoring play started with a pass to Breffle, who pushed the ball past the outstretched arms of the WSU goalkeeper.
Neither team was able to solve the opposing goalkeeper through the remainder of the first half, regulation and back-to-back 10-minute overtime periods.
The tie marked the Beavers' second of the season and the third time BSU has been forced to play extra time. BSU is 1-0-2 in overtime games in 2021.
BSU finished the match with a 17-9 advantage in shots with a 9-4 edge in shots on goal.
The Beavers, now 10-0-2 overall and 7-0-2 in league play, will continue their current road swing Sunday with a trip to Fayette, Iowa to go head-to-head with Upper Iowa University (6-5-0; 4-5-0 NSIC). Opening kick is set for noon at Pattison Field.
