Box Score MARSHALL, Minn. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team closed out its 2021 season Saturday afternoon after falling 3-0 (25-22, 25-11, 25-11) at No. 17 Southwest Minnesota State University. The Beavers finished the season with a 2-26 record and went 2-18 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play.
Senior Anna Averkamp paced the Beavers with six kills and hit a team-high .158 while freshman Ashley Crowl followed with five kills and sophomore Rilee Michaelson added four. The Beavers totaled 19 kills as a team and had 19 attacking errors in 95 attacks while the Mustangs totaled 38 kills and hit .255.
Freshman Emily Wade totaled 18 assists setting the ball for the Beavers' attack while also adding seven digs defensively. Sophomore Madison Weyker paced the Beavers' defense with 11 digs while junior Meeghen Dahlager followed with eight. Sophomore Rylie Bjerklie led BSU's blocker with 1.5 blocks (1s-1a) while freshman Lauren Sitter added one (1s).
