WAYNE, Neb. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell to No. 8 Wayne State College (Neb.) in three sets Saturday afternoon to continue Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action in Wayne, Neb. The Beavers (0-13, 0-5 NSIC) fell 3-0 (25-14, 24-12, 25-11) in the match against the Wildcats (10-2, 4-1 NSIC).

Junior Meeghen Dahlager led the Beavers by totaling a career-high 10 kills in the match while also hitting at a team-high .261 clip. The Beavers hit -.009 as a team in the match after totaling 25 kills and 26 errors in 110 attacks while the Wildcats hit .371 with 39 kills and six errors in 89 attacks. Following Dahlager was senior Anna Averkamps who totaled six kills and hit .091. Freshman Emily Wade coordinated the Beavers' attack and recorded 17 assists while also adding nine digs defensively.

Sophomore Madison Weyker paced the Beavers defense with 10 digs while sophomore Maddi Siedenburg and Wade followed with nine each.

Bemidji State returns home to the BSU Gymnasium next weekend and will host Upper Iowa University Friday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m., followed by No. 11 Winona State University Saturday at 5 p.m.
