Box Score

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University women's hockey team was shutout, 3-0, by No. 8/9 Minnesota Duluth in the last regular season meeting for the two teams.

Taking over thirty minutes for either team to tally a goal, Minnesota Duluth's Naomi Rogge got the Bulldogs on the board and marked her third goal of the weekend. Gabbie Hughes and Maggie Flaherty earned the assist on Rogge's goal. Late in the third, UMD Captain Anna Klein found the back of the net during a powerplay. Marking assists were Elizabeth Giguere and Gabbie Hughes. The Bulldogs final score came from an empty net goal from Taylor Stewart in the final 90 seconds of play.

The Beaver's went 0-3 on the powerplay while the Bulldogs went 1-2, capitalizing on a powerplay opportunity late in the third. BSU's defense held their own for the most of the game, marking 15 blocked shots and helping goaltender Kerigan Dowhy to only two goals allowed. The Beavers also held the faceoff circle, earning 29-of-49 faceoffs.

Two of Bemidji State's fifth-year seniors made their marks on the Beaver Women's Hockey record books as Paige Beebe and Lindsey Featherstone skated in the 149th consecutive game of their careers. The duo will look to break the record for most games played in a career in next weekends' matchup versus St. Cloud State University, which currently sits at 151 games.

The Beavers will head home to prepare to host St. Cloud State University Jan. 21 and 22 at the Sanford Center in Bemidji, Minn. They will then get a second home series the following weekend, hosting University of St. Thomas Jan. 28 and 29.
