COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 1/2 Ohio State University earned the series sweep over the Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team Saturday afternoon with a 7-1 victory over the Beavers in Columbus, Ohio.  Junior Calli Forsberg scored the lone goal for the Beavers (3-12-1, 1-11-0 WCHA) her second of the season.
 
Bemidji State was out-shot 38-12 in the game with sophomore Abbie Thompson making her second start of the season between the pipes. She played 39:58 minutes and stopped 22-of-27 shots before being replaced by freshman Madison Faucher at the start of the third period for her first collegiate appearance. Faucher stopped 7-of-9 shots by the Buckeyes in the period.
 
The Beavers will now gear up for another road trip and will travel to Hamden, Conn., to take part in the Nutmeg Classic Tournament hosted by Quinnipiac University. The Beavers begin the tournament Friday, Nov. 25 by facing the Bobcats at 2:00 p.m. CT.
