BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team ends its 2022 season against Minnesota State University, Moorhead and Northern State University this weekend in the final matches of season.

The Beavers (4-22, 3-15 NSIC) will be hosting two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches, starting with MSU Moorhead (7-19, 4-14 NSIC) Friday and then the following day will host Northern State (16-10, 11-7 NSIC) for Senior Night.

BSU will host match one at 6 p.m. against the Dragons and then 4 p.m. against the Wolves, Saturday. Live stats and stream can be found,Â

This is the second meeting with both teams this season for the Beavers. On Sept. 10, BSU fell 3-0 to MSUM in Moorhead, Minn. The team was led by junior
Hallie Mertz recording 10 kills and one block,
Annie Hopp tied with Mertz with 12 digs in the match. The previous day Bemidji State was in Aberdeen, S.D., as they were defeated 3-0 by the Wolves. The Beavers hit .245 in the match with their best set coming in the second where they hit .325. Mertz was the front running again for the team tallying 11 kills and one ace.Â

Leading the Beavers this season has been Mertz with 262 kills almost double of trailing sophomore
Lauren Sitter's 147.
Ashley East and
Rylie Bjerklie have also broken the triple digit marker recording 118 and 104, respectively. As a team, BSU is hitting .137 and leading the way is freshman
Zayda Priebe landing .268 of her 112 attacks. Mertz also leads the team in aces with 25 points off the serve with sophomore
Ashley Crowl recording 18 in her 78 sets.

Emily Wade is now leading the Beavers in assists, three away from 400 after having her best weekend recording 71 in the two matches and totaling 1,000 assists on her career.
Hally Holker is right behind her setting up 363 points in her 85 sets played.

Tallying over 200 digs on the season is Mertz now at 206 on the season. Wade and Crowl are right behind with 162 and 161, respectively. Last weekend Bjerklie recorder her 50
th block of the season against Minot State University in the 3-0 set victory. Senior
Rylee Pompa follows behind with 43. Â
