ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Bemidji State University Men's Basketball team was unable to make up ground on Northern State University Saturday night in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action in Aberdeen, S.D. The Beavers (5-5, 1-4 NSIC) were led by
Dalton Albrecht on the court who recorded 19 points in action against the Wolves (8-3, 4-1 NSIC).
Bemidji State converted on 45.2% on its shots on the night but not enough compared to Northern State's 55.2%. BSU scored eight from three with
Johnny Tennyson and
Brayden Williams scoring three each. The Beavers' bench aided in the scoring and totaled 22 points.
Four Beavers broke into double-figures with Albrecht leading the way with 19. Tennyson came off the bench and scored 13 points shooting 5-for-10 from the field. The final two were Williams with 11 and
Brandon Christlieb with 10. Williams finished first with four assists on the team and Christlieb was behind him with three.
Tate Olson made the most of his second start with eight rebounds to lead the Beavers. BSU walked away with 26 rebounds, 10 short of NSU. Christlieb was second on the team with four of his own boards. Olson was also the sole Beaver to record a block on the night.
The Beavers finish the 2022 calendar year by hosting University of Mary and Minot State University on Dec. 16 and 17 at the BSU Gymnasium.
