BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Basketball team hosts University of Mary and Minot State University for its final games of the 2022 calendar year. The Beavers start the weekend by hosting University of Mary Friday, Dec. 30 at 3 p.m., followed by hosting Minot State University at 1 p.m., Saturday.
The Series vs Mary
· Mary leads the all-time series against Bemidji State, 23-8.
· The Beavers and Marauders last met Feb. 5, 2022, a 66-63 win by BSU in Bemidji, Minn.
· Mary leads the series when played in Bemidji, 11-3.
· Bemidji State and Mary first met Nov. 30, 1984, an 80-75 win for BSU.
The Series vs Minot State
· Minot State leads the all-time series against Bemidji State, 11-9.
· The Beavers and Minot State last met Feb. 4, 2022, an 89-61 win by BSU in Bemidji, Minn.
· MSU leads the series when played in Bemidji, 6-5.
· Bemidji State and Minot State first met Dec. 15, 2012, 63-51 win for BSU.
Fast Break Bemidji State
· The Beavers are still looking for their elusive first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win after dropping their last game before the holiday break 64-76 to University of Minnesota, Crookston.

· Yoder reached 150 points on the season after dropping 15 against UMC loss. Yoder now has 1247 career points ranked 12

· Bemidji State is averaging 58.5 points per game with Yoder leading the team with 15.0 ppg and rank 11th in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

Sam Pogatchnik leads BSU and is fifth in the NSIC in rebounds by averaging 7.4 per game. The Beavers are averaging 36.6 rebounds a game, 10th in the NSIC.
· Yoder has assisted on 37 Beaver baskets, 3.7 per game, to stand fifth in the conference.
· Bemidji State is 16
th in the NSIC in scoring offense and 12
th in scoring defense.
· BSU is 16
th in field goal percentage (.366) and fell to 14th in 3-point field goal percentage (.296). After going 12-for-60 from three in its last three games.
· Bemidji State is sixth in the conference with 3.60 blocked shots per game with Schires and Hill leading the team with six.
· The Beavers are 12
th in turnovers and 14
th in assist to turnover ratio.
Scouting Mary
- Head Coach Rick Neumann is in his ninth season with the Marauders (137-121).
- Mary (5-4, 4-2 NSIC) defeated Minot State in its last game before the holiday break 59-54.
- Mary averages 67.1 points per game shooting 42.3% from the field and 33.1% from behind the arc.
- Senior guard Megan Zander leads the Marauders with 136 points and 49 rebounds, 12 coming on offensive boards.
Scouting Minot State
- Head Coach Mike Brandt is in his second season with the Beavers (14-22).
- MSU (5-7, 1-5 NSIC) fell to Mary in the reschedule game 59-54.
- MSU averages 58.2 points per game shooting 38.0% from the field and 30.8% from behind the arc.
- Senior Kate Head leads the Beavers in scoring with 184 points on the season. Head was named NSIC North Division Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 14.
