BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University's alumni and foundation office released its 2022 summer event schedule that includes eight golf tournaments and a fishing tournament. All of Beaver Prides' summer events will benefit the Beaver Athletics department.
The summer schedule begins June 17 with the 44th annual Gordy Skaar Memorial Golf Tournament, which supports the Beaver Pride Athletic Fund and the Gordy Skaar Endowment. The scramble format tournament features five-person teams with shotgun starts at 7:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. at the Bemidji Town & Country Club. The tournament is currently open for registration online only by clicking HERE. The registration fee of $135 per person includes golf, two carts per team, tee prizes, brats on the course and a meal after your round.
Beaver Football will host its annual War on the Shore Fishing Tournament July 9 across lakes within Beltrami County, and is open for registration HERE. The Beaver Best Ball Golf Tournament will also be held July 9 at the Bemidji Town & Country Club to support Beaver Men's Golf.
The 25th annual Galen Nagle Memorial Golf Tournament will be held July 15 at the Bemidji Town & Country Club, which will support men's hockey. The scramble format tournament features five-person teams with morning tee times from 7:30-10 a.m. All afternoon tee times are full. Registration cost of $150 per person includes golf, two carts per team, tee prizes, brats on the course and a meal after your round. The tournament is currently open for registration online only by clicking HERE. For those not golfing, or wish to celebrate Galen Nagle and Coach Bob Peters' legacy, a gathering will be hosted at 5 p.m. at the country club. BSU will also host a celebration of life for Peters July 16 at the Beaux Arts Ballroom on campus from 1-4 p.m.
The third annual Ken Traxler Memorial Golf Tournament will be held July 29 at Castle Highlands Golf Course. Proceeds from the tournament will support Beaver Football.
The 14th annual Men's Basketball Golf Tournament will be held August 1 at the Headwaters Golf Club in Park Rapids, Minn. Proceeds from the tournament will support Beaver Men's Basketball.
The annual Howe-Welle Women's Athletics Golf Tournament will be held August 26 at the Bemidji Town & Country Club. Proceeds from the tournament will support Beaver Women's Athletics.
The 15th annual Ed Sauer Memorial Golf Tournament will be held August 27 at the Tianna Country Club in Walker, Minn. Proceeds from the tournament will support Beaver Men's Golf.
The seventh annual BSU Baseball Golf Tournament will be held September 10 at the Castle Highlands Golf Course. Proceeds from the tournament will support Beaver Baseball.
