Boschee rounds out coaching staff with assistants Fodness, Rohwer

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University men's basketball Head Coach Mike Boschee announced the additions of Alex Fodness and Tristan Rohwer to the program's coaching staff as assistants.
 
Fodness joins Bemidji State as the top assistant after serving as the head coach at Minnesota State Community and Technical College during the 2021-22 season. The Spartans led the NJCCA in opponent turnovers per game (21.3) and ranked third in 3-point field goals made (294), sixth in steals per game (11.5), and 14th in points per game (84.5). Minnesota State C&TC finished the season 9-17 overall and featured one All-Minnesota College Athletic Conference selection.
 
Prior to joining Minnesota State C&TC, Fodness spent one season as an assistant coach at Independence Community College in Independence, Kan. The Pirates finished the season 13-10 and fell in the quarterfinals of the KJCCC Tournament. Fodness coached two all-conference selections and one NJCCA All-American. He graduated from South Dakota State University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and earned his master's degree from SDSU in sport and recreation studies in 2016.
 
Rohwer begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Beavers in 2022-23 after serving in the same position at the College of St. Scholastica in 2021-22. Prior to joining the Saints, Rohwer was an assistant coach at Lake Region State Junior College from 2019-21. The Royals finished the 2020-21 season 15-9 and reached the semifinals as the number three seed in its conference tournament. Two student-athletes were named to the all-conference team.
 
Rohwer earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from the University of Minnesota in 2019.
