BEMIDJI, Minn. – The No. 9 Bemidji State University women's soccer team looks to bounce back from its season-opening loss last weekend against Division I opponent South Dakota State University and travels to Michigan to face Northern Michigan University and Michigan Technological University.

The Beavers (0-1-0, 0-0-0 NSIC) first travel to Marquette, Mich., Friday, Sept. 2 to face the Wildcats (2-0-0) who are receiving votes in the preseason Soccer Coaches Association national ranking. BSU will then travel 100 miles to Houghton, Mich., Sunday to face the Huskies (1-1-0). The Beavers kick-off against the Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. CDT and at 11:00 a.m. CDT against the Huskies.

Bemidji State is 7-6-0 all-time against Northern Michigan and is currently riding a six-game win streak against the Wildcats. The Beavers earned a 3-2 victory in their last match on Sept. 12, 2021.

BSU is 5-2-0 all-time against Michigan Tech and is on a three-game win streak against the Huskies. BSU and MTU last played on Sept. 10, 2021 with the Beavers earning a 2-1 victory.

The Beavers hope to rebound after suffering a 3-0 defeat in their first game of the season against Division I South Dakota State last weekend.
