BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Bemidji State University women's soccer senior
Halle Peterson was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Defensive Players of the Week Monday afternoon after helping the Beavers to a 2-0-0 weekend this past weekend.

Peterson anchored a Beavers' defense that held opponents scoreless over the weekend and limited them to just 13 shots, three of which were on goal. She also contributed offensively and assisted on the Beavers' game-winning goal in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Minnesota State University, Moorhead while also posting one shot on goal.

The Stillwater, Minn., native earns her second career NSIC weekly accolade after being named the defensive player of the week once last year.

Peterson and the rest of the Beavers' squad continue its NSIC play at home this weekend and hosts No. 11 Minnesota State University, Mankato and Concordia University-St. Paul at Chet Anderson Stadium, Friday and Sunday.
