BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Men's Hockey Freshman
Lleyton Roed has been named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association's Rookie of the Week after the Beavers' non-conference series with University of Minnesota Duluth.

Roed recorded two assists last weekend against the Bulldogs to lead all league freshman in points. The freshman from White Bear Lake, Minn., tallied both assists on both goals in Saturday's 5-2 loss in Duluth, Minn. He finished the weekend with a +1 rating on the ice while also registering seven shots on goal and won 51.6 percent of his face-offs. He is the third conference student-athlete to earn multiple rookie of the week honors this season.

He was joined by Bowling Green State University's Austen Swankler as the Forward of the Week, Minnesota State University, Mankato's Jake Livingstone as the Defenseman of the Week and Michigan Tech University's Blake Pietila as the Goaltender of the Week.

Roed the Beavers resume CCHA play this weekend and will travel to Bowling Green State for their first and only meeting with the Falcons this season. Both games of their Friday-Saturday series are scheduled for 6:07 p.m.
