BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team fell 9-1 to No. 2 Ohio State University Friday night at Sanford Center in their Western Collegiate Hockey Association series opener.

Kayla Santl scored the lone goal for the Beavers with 46 seconds left in the second period for her second goal of the season.

McKayla Zilisch, her second of the season, and freshman
Riley Reeves for her first collegiate point.

Ohio State's Jincy Dunne led the Buckeyes (8-1-0, 7-0-0 WCHA) netting a hat trick and finishing the game with four points.

BSU's
Abbie Thompson made 40 saves for the Beavers in 60 minute of work but falls to 0-8-1 on the season.

The Beavers are now 0-10-1 (0-7-0 WCHA) and host the Buckeyes for game two tomorrow afternoon at 3:01 p.m.
