BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Women's Soccer head coach Jim Stone announced the commitments of 10 student-athletes to the Beaver Soccer program for the upcoming 2024 season during the NCAA's early signing period Wednesday.
 
Hannah Bolte (Oswego, Ill.), Rozlyn Buettner (Gretna, Neb.), Madisen Fritel (Big Lake, Minn.), Margaret Kramer (St. Michael, Minn.), Isabel Morales (Gilberts, Ill.), Grace Schwoch (Stillwater, Minn.), Dayna Stocke (Andover, Minn.), Sydney Sutherland (Blaine, Minn.), Breanna Weilert (Blaine, Minn.) and Marielle Wright (Pittsburg, Kan.) have all signed National Letters of Intent to attend Bemidji State and play soccer for the Beavers next fall.
 
All signees are contingent upon admission to BSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
 
"This a positionally diverse class," said Stone. "Every position has been addressed along with numerous players who can play in multiple places. It adds immense talent, depth and character to our program. Time will tell but I believe it's going to be a class that put's its stamp on our program allowing us to pursue our competitive dreams and uphold the standard of excellence within our program."  
 
The signing class of 2024 consists of four midfielders, one goalkeeper, one forward and four defenders.
 
* Hannah Bolte – 5-6 – M/D – Oswego, Ill. (Oswego East HS/Sockers FC)
Letterwinner for the Oswego East High School girls soccer program… Helped the Wolves to the regional final match and 18-3-0 record in 2023… Helped the Wovles to a 14-1-0 record and reginal final appearance in 2022… 2024 season is set to begin in March… National Honor Society member and High-Honor Roll member.
 
Personal: Daughter of Mike and Glenda Bolte… Born on Nov. 23, 2005… Plans to major in Bio-Chemistry while attending Bemidji State… Niece of Bemidji State Football head coach Brent Bolte… Enjoys crocheting, spending time with her dogs and going to the gym when not on the soccer pitch.
 
Coach Stone on Hannah: "Hannah is a very intelligent player with a good skill set, steady and dependable. In addition to bringing a high IQ on the field, she brings one to the classroom as well and embodies what we look for in a student-athlete. She has a professional persona and brings a thoughtful kind presence into our program."
 
* Rozlyn Buettner – 5-6 – GK – Gretna, Neb. (Gretna HS/Sporting Nebraska FC)
Letterwinner for the Gretna High School girls soccer program… Helped the Dragons to three Nebraska Class A State Soccer championships… Three-time Nebraska Metro-Conference Tournament champion.
 
Personal: Daughter of Andy and Rylee Buettner… Born on Feb. 17, 2006… Plans to major in Nursing while attending Bemidji State… Enjoys cooking when not on the soccer pitch.
 
Coach Stone on Rozlyn: "I saw Rozlyn at an ID Camp and was impressed with how technically sound she was. As we were able to get to know her more, we could tell that she was going to be a great fit and help us carry on our tradition of great goalkeeping. She brings a great focus and caring attitude into our program."
 
* Madisen Fritel – 5-7 – F – Big Lake, Minn. (Spectrum HS/Boreal FC)
Letterwinner for Spectrum High School's girls soccer and track programs… Helped the Sting to a 13-5-0 record in 2023 and first-place finish in the Minnesota Classic Athletic Association… Helped the Sting to a Section 7A semifinal appearance… Tied for fifth in the state with 36 goals…Three-time All-State First Team selection… Three-time All-MCAA selection… Helped Boreal FC to State Cup Championships in 2023 and 2021… Member of the Spectrum High School's A-Honor Roll.
 
Personal: Daughter of Mark and Jen Fritel… Born on Aug. 13, 2006… Plans to major in Biology with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy while attending Bemidji State… Enjoys hanging out with friends when not on the soccer pitch.
 
Coach Stone on Madisen: "In addition to having to having blazing speed, Madi has the "it" factor. She has that goal scoring mentality and parts of her game remind me of Rachael Norton, which is an incredible compliment. She can go from 0 to a 100 in a few steps when she sniffs a goal and is as nice of a kid as you'll ever meet."
 
* Margaret Kramer – 5-7 – D – St. Michael, Minn. (St. Michael-Albertville HS/Boreal FC)
Three-year letterwinner for the St. Michael-Albertville High School girls soccer program… Helped the Knights to a 12-7-1 record in 2023 and Minnesota State Class AAA State Tournament appearance… Scored both goals in the Knights' 4-2 loss to Edina High School in the State Class AAA Quarterfinal match… 2023 team captain… All-Lake Conference selection in 2023 and MSHSL All-State Tournament team selection… Helped the Knights to Section 8AAA Championships in 2023 and 2022… All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2022 and voted team's defensive MVP… Helped Boreal FC to a Minnesota State Cup Championship in 2023 and 2022.
 
Personal: Daughter of Larry and Mona Kramer… Born on Aug. 1, 2006… Plans to major in Health Sciences while attending Bemidji State… Father, Larry, played football at South Dakota School of Mines (1984-86) and mother, Mona, played basketball at SD Mines (1986-87)… Sister, Rebecca, played soccer at Wisconsin-River Falls (2010-14) and brother, Andrew, ran track and field at SD Mines (2019)… Enjoys hanging out with friends and playing games with family when not on the soccer pitch.
 
Coach Stone on Margaret: "Maggie is incredibly talented, in the Halle Peterson mold as she can score goals as a defender. She possesses great touch and combines it with a strong physical presence. She can build out of the back with simple accurate passes or punish a high backline by playing behind it. She brings natural leadership ability and a positive personality into our program."
 
* Isabel Morales – 5-3 – D/M – Gilberts, Ill. (Hampshire HS/Sockers FC)
Letterwinner for the Hampshire High School girls soccer program… All-Fox Valley Conference selection.. Top-10 in the Fox Valley Conference… Helped the Whippers defeat Cary-Grove for the first time in school history by scoring two goals and adding three assists.
 
Personal: Daughter of Humberto and Paula Morales… Born on Sept. 9, 2005… Undecided on a major at Bemidji State… Enjoys snowboarding, shopping, painting and reading when not on the soccer pitch.
 
Coach Stone on Isabel: "Isabel continues our strong recruiting connection to the Chicagoland area. She is a strong physical player with soft touch who could play in a backline or the midfield. She strikes a heavy ball, likes to tackle and brings a humble team spirit into our program."
 
* Grace Schwoch – 5-10 – D – Stillwater, Minn. (Stillwater Area HS/St. Croix Academy)
Four-time letterwinner for the Stillwater Area High School girls soccer program… Helped the Ponies to a 12-4-2 record in 2023 and appearance in the Section 4AA semifinals… Helped the Ponies to a Minnesota Class AAA State Championship in 2021… All-Suburban East Conference selection in 2023 and 2022… Helped Minnesota Thunder Academy win the Gothia Cup held in Sweden in summer of 2023.
 
Personal: Daughter of Ryan and Michelle Schwoch… Born on Jan. 2, 2006… Plans to major in business at Bemidji State… Enjoys skiing, swimming, tubing and hanging out with friends when not on the soccer pitch.
 
Coach Stone on Grace: "Grace is Bemidji. Once we had her on campus and got to know her a bit I could tell it was going to be a great fit. It's also a great fit on the field too. She's an athletic defender who can head the ball and has all the makings of great center back. She values relationship and brings a fun personality into our program."
 
* Dayna Stocke – 5-8 – M – Andover, Minn. (Andover HS/Boreal FC)
Letterwinner for the Andover High School girls soccer program… Helped the Huskies to a 13-5-2 record in 2023 and third place finish in the Minnesota Class AA State Tournament… All-State Second Team selection in 2023 and All-Northwest Suburban Conference selection in 2023 and 2022… Helped the Huskies to a Section 7AAA Championship in 2023… Helped Boreal FC to a Minnesota State Cup Championship in 2023 and 2022… Member of Andover High School's National Honor Society, A-Honor Roll and Academic letter.
 
Personal: Daughter of Daniel and Gina Stocke… Born on May 12, 2006… Currently undecided on a major at Bemidji State… Joins sisters Maria (junior) and Briana (sophomore) on the Beaver Soccer team… Enjoys fishing, four-wheeling and being with family and friends when not on the soccer pitch.
 
Coach Stone on Dayna: "Dayna is a smooth player with great touch who can build possession and dictate tempo when she's at her best. She can play anywhere in the midfield and brings a kindness into our program that we appreciate."

Three-time letterwinner for the Blaine High School girls soccer program… Helped the Bengals to a 13-2-1 record in 2023 and appearance in the Section 7AAA semifinal match… Two-time All-State First Team selection… Three-time All-Northwest Suburban Conference selection… Two-time Star Tribune All-Metro Team selection… Twice selected to the Twin Cities Rush National Team… Member of Blaine High School's National Honor Society, A-Honor Roll and Spotlight on Scholarship Award selection.

Personal: Daughter of Brian and Laura Wright… Born on April 12, 2006… Plans to major in Psychology while at Bemidji State… Father, Brian, and mother, Laura, played football and soccer at The College of Wooster… Brother, Jake, is playing football at Pittsburg State… Enjoys baking and running when not on the soccer pitch.
 
Coach Stone on Marielle: "Marielle is the type of person and athlete that every coach wants in their program. She understands how profitable hard work is and has a competitiveness that will be contagious. She competes with integrity & will be a great teammate. A great athlete with big upside who could play multiple positions."
