BEMIDJI, Minn. – After leading conference blueliners with four-points, Bemidji State University Men's Hockey senior Elias Rosén was selected as the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Defenseman of the Week announced by the league Monday afternoon.
 
Rosén earns his third CCHA weekly accolade of the season and the sixth of his career.
 
The Mora, Sweden native posted a goal and three assists in Saturday's 7-2 victory over University of St. Thomas to record just the second four-point effort by a CCHA defenseman this season. The four-point night for Rosén tied a career-high for the senior and now has 28 points (4g-24a) on the season to become the highest scoring defenseman at BSU since Justin Baudry recorded 31 points (9g-22a) in 2019-20.
 
Joining Rosén was Lake Superior State's Louis Boudon as the CCHA Forward of the Week, Michigan Tech's Blake Pietila and Kyle Kukkonen as the Goaltender and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
 
Rosén and the rest of the Beavers prepare for the CCHA Quarterfinals this weekend and will travel to Marquette, Mich., as the fifth-seed to take on fourth-seeded Northern Michigan University for a best-of-three series. Game one against the Wildcats is slated for a 6:07 p.m. CT puck drop Friday, March 3.
