BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Women's Soccer fifth-year senior
Halle Peterson has been selected for her third career Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week award announced by the conference Monday afternoon.

The Stillwater, Minn., native led the Beavers playing in 70 of the team's 90 minutes and anchored the Beavers' backline that held Upper Iowa University to just two shots, 0 on goal, in their 3-0 victory over the Peacocks Friday night. The win was the Beavers' second-consecutive shutout and have allowed just one goal through the team's first three matches.

She is the first member of the Beavers to be recognized with a weekly award this season and earns her third weekly accolade of her career after earning the recognition in 2022 and 2021.

Peterson and the Beavers wrap-up the non-conference season tomorrow (Sept.12 ) afternoon by hosting Minot State University at 4 p.m. at Chet Anderson Stadium.
