BEMIDJI, Minn. – Former Bemidji State University Women's Hockey standout defenseman and director of hockey operations Alexis Joyce makes her return to the Beaver coaching staff after
Jim Scanlan announced the hiring of Joyce as an Assistant Coach Wednesday afternoon.
Joyce will assist the Beaver coaching staff in recruiting, player development, operations and work directly with the defensive group.
From Lakeville, Minn., Joyce played four seasons for the Beavers totaling 81 career points to rank as the program's second highest scoring defensemen while her 59 career assists are tied for fifth among all BSU skaters. The All-WCHA Second and Rookie Team selection skated in all 148 games of her career and was a three-time WCHA Scholar-Athlete and WCHA All-Academic Team honoree.
Following her student-athlete career, she joined the Bemidji State coaching staff as a Co-Director of Hockey Operations during the 2019-20 season.
