BURNSVILLE, Minn. – After a seven-point week, Bemidji State University Women's Soccer sophomore forward
Katrina Barthelt was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week Monday afternoon.

Barthelt earns her first career weekly accolade after leading the Beavers to three wins by scoring three goals and adding assist to lead all NSIC scorers during the week.

The Bartlett, Ill., native powered the Beavers to a 7-1 victory at University of Minnesota Crookston by scoring a career-high two goals and an assist against the Golden Eagles. She then followed by scoring a goal in the Beavers' 2-0 victory over St. Cloud State University Sunday afternoon. She scored the game-winning goal in two of the Beavers' three games during the week and posted a team-high six shots on goal and 12 total shots.

She was joined by Northern State University's Zoe Boughton and Minnesota State University, Mankato's Mackenzie Rath as the Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week.

Just six games into the season, Barthelt has totaled a career best 10 points off four goals and two assists to lead the Beavers in scoring.

She and the rest of the BSU Women's Soccer squad prepare to host University of Sioux Falls Thursday at Chet Anderson Stadium before having the remainder of the weekend off from competition.
