BEMIDJI, Minn. – For the first time this season, Bemidji State University Men's Hockey sophomore Lleyton Roed has been selected as the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Forward of the Week announced by the league Monday afternoon.
 
Roed led all conference skaters with four points on two goals and two assists, while also posting a league-best +3 rating in the Beavers' road split at Ferris State University last weekend. On Friday, he dished out a pair of helpers in a 4-1 Bemidji State victory. He then netted two goals in a 5-3 loss to the Bulldogs on Saturday. For the week, he had four shots on goal and three blocks at the defensive end of the ice.
 
The White Bear Lake, Minn., native earns his sixth career weekly accolade from the league after being named the league's Rookie of the Week five times last year.
 
He was joined by Minnesota State University, Mankato's Evan Murr (Defenseman) and Keenan Rancier (Goaltender) as well as Ferris State's Luigi Benincasa (Rookie) as award winners this week.
 
Roed and the rest of the BSU Men's Hockey team will have the upcoming weekend off from competition before returning to action Jan. 19-20 for a road trip to Michigan Technological University.
