BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Women's Hockey sophomore Hailey Armstrong was selected as the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Forward of the Week after leading the Beavers to a 1-0-1 series against Lindenwood University this past weekend.
 
Armstrong is the first Beaver to earn a WCHA weekly accolade this season and the first since Reece Hunt (2021-22) to be named the league's forward of the week. This is the first time she has been named the WCHA Forward of the Week but previously earned the league's rookie of the week on Nov. 20, 2023.
 
The Dawson Creek, B.C., native led the Beavers to their first win Friday night by netting her first collegiate hat trick while also posting a program record 14 shots on goal in the win. She finished the weekend with three points, 18 shots on goal and held a +3 rating on the ice.
 
She was joined by University of Wisconsin's Caroline Harvey (Defender), Ava McNaughton (Goaltender) and St. Cloud State University's Emilia Kyrkko (Rookie) as weekly award winners for October 21.
 
Armstrong and the rest of the Beavers will make their first WCHA road trip this weekend and travels to face No. 1 Wisconsin at LaBahn Arena in Madison, Wis. The teams will battle for a Thursday-Friday series begging at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 24.
