No. 1 Badgers earn series sweep of Beavers Friday

No. 1 Wisconsin earns series sweep over BSU Women’s Hockey with 6-0 victory Friday night

MADISON, Wis. – No. 1 University of Wisconsin completed the Western Collegiate Hockey Association series sweep of the Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team Friday night with a 6-0 victory.
 
Freshman goaltender Kaitlin Groess stopped 44 shots for the Beavers, the second most in her career, and turned aside all 16 shots she faced in the third period.
 
The Beavers fall to 1-8-1 on the season and 0-6-0 in conference play but return home and host University of Minnesota next weekend at Sanford Center.
