BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Soccer team surged for three goals in the second half en route to a 3-0 victory over Winona State University Friday evening at Chet Anderson Stadium.

Katrina Barthelt scored the game-winning goal in the 46
th minute followed by
Lauren Hodny in the 50
th and
Emma Huelsnitz in the 72
nd as the Beavers improved 5-3-0 and 3-1-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play.

Bemidji State dominated from start to finish out-pacing the Warriors (2-4-1, 1-4-0 NSIC) 18-5 in shots including posting a season-high 14 shots on goal.

Barthelt scored her sixth of the season to maintain her status as top goal scorer in the NSIC after forcing a Warrior turnover.

She was followed just four minutes later when fifth-year senior
Lauren Hodny scored her first of the season after nice footwork within the Warrior penalty area.

Bemidji State then extended its lead to three in the 72
nd minute after redshirt junior
Emma Huelsnitz converted a corner kick with a nice header to score her first of the season.

The Beavers will now host Southwest Minnesota State University Sunday at 1 p.m., and will honor their six seniors prior to the match.
