BEMIDJI, Minn. – After helping the (RV) Bemidji State University Men's Hockey team upset No. 18 University of Minnesota Duluth on the road for the first time since 2016, sophomore
Raythan Robbins was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Goaltender of the Week.
Â
Robbins entered the game midway through the third period of Saturday's game at AMSOIL Arena and turned aside 11-of-12 Bulldog shots to help guide the Beavers to a 4-3 overtime victory. The Anchorage, Alaska native stopped six shots during the final 9:41 of the third period to send the game into overtime and then stopped all five shots he faced in overtime to claim his first collegiate victory.
Â
This is the first time that Robbins has earned a CCHA weekly award. He was joined by Bowling Green's Brett Pfoh (Forward), Ferris State's Trevor Taulien (Defenseman) and Minnesota State's Luke Ashton (Rookie) as weekly award winners.
