BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Beaver Volleyball was swept by Northern State University, 3-0, Friday evening in Bemidji.
Northern State dominated all three sets, marking 55 total points, 43 kills, three service aces and nine blocks. The Beavers tallied 36 points, 34 kills, one block and one ace. BSU marked a hitting percentage of .117 against NSU's .352.
The Beavers fought hard through all three sets, falling 25-16, 25-15 and 25-14.
Ashley Crowl led the charge for the Beavers, grabbing 12.5 points with
Rylie Bjerklie and
Lauren Sitter just behind her at eight points each. Crowl grabbed 12 kills on 30 attempts for a hitting percentage of .133. Bjerklie tallied eight kills on 19 attempts for a hitting percentage of .263.
Defensively, libero
Jada Wlodarczyk marked 12 digs with just one receiving error. Assisting the Beavers on their kills,
Emily Wade added 25 assists to her already impressive total, now sitting at 2,579 in her career.
The Beavers host Minnesota State University Moorhead Saturday evening at 4 p.m. then head on the final road trip of the season next week. BSU heads to Winona State University and Southwest Minnesota State University Nov. 8 and 9, respectively, then comes home to close the season the following weekend against Minnesota State University Mankato and Concordia University, St. Paul.
