BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Soccer team begins the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Soccer Tournament late Monday morning. The seventh-seeded Beavers travel to St. Paul, Minn., to take on two-seeded Concordia University-St. Paul at 11 a.m.

It is the 15
th consecutive season the Beavers qualified for the conference tournament and their 21
st overall in the program's 29-year history.

It will be just eight days since the two teams last meet after previously meeting Nov. 3 during the regular season at Chet Anderson Stadium. The Golden Bears earned a 2-1 victory over the Beavers after two first-half goals. Junior
Katrina Barthelt scored the Beavers' lone goal in the match in the second half.

CSP earned the second seed in the conference tournament after finishing the regular season with a 10-3-1 league record and 12-3-3 overall. Bemidji State finished seventh in the conference standings with a 7-4-3 league record and are 9-6-3 overall.

The Beavers and Golden Bears previously met in the NSIC Tournament in 2021 with the Beavers earning a 1-0 shutout victory in the semifinal match to advance to the championship. BSU and CSP has met for two meetings in the NSIC Tournament with the Beavers earning victories in both matches. Their first meeting was Nov. 2, 2004 with BSU earning a 3-0 victory in the first round for the program's first postseason win.

The Beavers are 14-11-3 all-time against Concordia-St. Paul but over the last five matches, the teams have split victories going 2-2-1 over the last five. The Beavers are 6-6-3 when facing the Golden Bears on the road.

Bemidji State is led by Barthelt. She paced the NSIC scoring 11 goals during the regular season to become the conference's leading goal scorer and is tied for 20
th in DII. She is also the league's leader in shots on goal (28) and points (25). She is ninth in program history with 25 career goals.

Four matches will be played at campus sites for the first round of the NSIC Tournament Monday. The four advancing teams will travel to the highest remaining seed where the semifinal and championship matches will be held Friday, Nov. 15 and Sunday.
