BOCA RATON, Fla. – Bemidji State University Men's Basketball fell to Lynn University Wednesday evening by a score of 88-47.
Christian Koonce led the Beavers' scoring with Dax Dayley being the top rebounder for the Green and White.
The Beavers kept things closer in the first half than in the second, ending the first 20 minutes at a score of 47-28. BSU was only able to score 19 points in the second half while giving up 41. BSU shot .303 percent from the field and .179 from the three-point arc. They were given just four free-throw opportunities, capitalizing on two. Lynn grabbed a .507 shooting percentage in the field and .382 from the arc. The Fighting Knights marked five made free throws on seven shots for a .714 shooting percentage. The Beavers grabbed 26 points in the paint, five off turnovers, eight on second chance opportunities and 19 from players off the bench.
Christian Koonce led Bemidji State with 12 points and two rebounds against the Fighting Knights. He was followed by
John Pecarich at eight points and
Malang Athian with seven.
Daxton Dayley and
Tate Olson grabbed the top two spots for rebounds with eight for Dayley and six for Olson.
Following this road trip, the Beavers return home until Dec. 6 when they head to Crookston, Minn. to take on the University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles. When the Beavers begin Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play in December at UMC, all games will be available on the NSIC Network for free streaming.
