FARGO, N.D. – The Bemidji State University Track and Field team found multiple top-10 finishes at this year's Dakota Alumni Classic hosted in Fargo, N.D. by North Dakota State University.
On the track,
Karina Olson excelled in the 60m hurdles, setting a provisional mark and taking the Bemidji State school record with a time of 8.80 and grabbed fourth place. She also took ninth in the 60m dash preliminaries with a time of 7.82.
Kylee Morton led the Beavers in the 200-meter dash with a 28
th-place finish at a time of 27.59. Adding 200 meters to that race,
Hailey Selly finished 14
th in the 400-meter dash at 1:07.68.
Mille Rosaeg competed in the indoor pentathlon for BSU. To start off, she grabbed ninth in the 60m hurdles at 9.30 seconds. She followed that with a 2:58.02 finish in the 800m race. Rosaeg did not compete in the high jump for the pentathlon, but marked 5.17 meters in the long jump, taking 10
th. She finished it off with a sixth-place finish in shot put at 10.63 meters.
Olivia Olson landed in the top ten for the women's pole vault, hitting a height of 3.25 meters and taking seventh place. In shot put,
Mikenna Pattrin found herself in 15
th with a throw of 11.99 meters followed by
Trista Bilden at 11.93 meters and 18
th place. Finally, Pattrin finished ninth in weight throw at a distance of 16.14 meters.
The Beavers now head to Superior, Wis. next month to take part in the Twin Ports Open, hosted by University of Wisconsin Superior. They'll then compete weekly leading up to the NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships Feb. 28 to Mar. 1 in Mankato, Minn.
