MINOT, N.D. – Bemidji State University Women's Basketball moves to 2-4 this season with two losses in Northern Sun Intercollegiate contests after a 57-47 loss to Minot State University Saturday afternoon.
BSU guard
Tieryn Plasch led the Beavers with 17 points, shooting 50% from the field and 42.9% from the three-point arc. She went two-for-two at the free-throw line and grabbed four rebounds, one block and a steal. Behind Plasch in scoring was
Sydney White with eight points and
Ella Giorgi with five. Giorgi and
Aubrey Heyer each tallied the team's high of six rebounds, Giorgi with all six on defense and Heyer with one on offense and five on defense. The pair also makred two steals on the evening.
The team shot just under 31% from the field, landing 16 shots out of 52 attempts. At the three-point line, the Beavers went 19% with four made shots on 21 attempts. On bonus shots, BSU went 11-16 for 68.8% at the free-throw line. The Beavers marked 22 points in the paint, 11 of turnovers, 14 off the bench and seven on second chance opportunities.
BSU now prepares to host Northern State University and Minnesota State University Moorhead Dec. 13 and 14, respectively. The Beavers and Wolves meet at 5:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Both games are available on the Beaver Radio Network and are streamed on the NSIC Network.
