ELKHORN, Neb. – The Bemidji State University Baseball team fell in both games of its doubleheader against Wayne State College Saturday afternoon in Elkhorn, Neb. The Beavers fell 7-1 in the seven-inning game one and the fell by run-rule in seven innings, 16-0 in game two.
Senior
Ty Karger scored its lone run of the game with a solo home run in the third inning of game one to pull the Beavers' within two runs of the Wildcats. It was his first home run of the season and the first for the Beavers in 2024.
The Beavers totaled four hits in game one with Karger,
Hunter Daymond,
Matt Filippi and
Beau Thoma all collecting hits. Bemidji State totaled just two hits in game two with
Matt Filippi and
Riley Czech each recording singles.
The Beavers will attempt to secure one win in the series tomorrow afternoon for game four at Noon.
