Mustangs snap Beavers’ win streak with 63-56 victory Saturday

BSU Men’s Basketball falters against Southwest Minnesota State Saturday evening

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Men's Basketball three-game win streak came to an end Saturday evening after falling 63-56 to Southwest Minnesota State University at the BSU Gymnasium.
 
Bemidji State falls to 13-13 (9-11 NSIC) but still sits eighth in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference standings with University of Sioux Falls falling tonight as well.
 
The Beavers were led by sophomore Brayden Williams who scored 17 points, the second most by the Owatonna, Minn., native this season. He was followed by junior John Sutherland with 12 points while senior Dalton Albrecht recorded his 14th double-double of the season on senior night with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
 
The Beavers will look to bounce back next weekend and attempt to secure home court advantage for the first round of the NSIC Tournament next weekend when they travel to Winona State University and Minnesota State University, Mankato, Feb. 23-24.
