MANKATO, Minn. – No. 4 Minnesota State University, Mankato overwhelmed the Bemidji State University Men's Basketball team in the second half of their Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference regular season finale Saturday night downing the Beavers 76-66 at Taylor Center in Mankato, Minn.

The Beavers (13-15, 9-13 NSIC) were seeded ninth in the NSIC Men's Basketball Tournament and will travel to University of Sioux Falls Wednesday, Feb. 28 and play for a trip to the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Bemidji State held a 39-37 lead over the Mavericks (26-2, 20-2 NSIC) at the end of the first half, but MSU out-scored the Beavers 39-27 in the second half to earn a 10-point victory.

Senior
Dalton Albrecht led the Beavers with 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting and collected seven rebounds. Junior
John Sutherland earned a double-double in the game and scored 15 points while snagging 10 rebounds including five on the offensive side.

Sophomore
Brayden Williams followed with 11 points and shot 5-for-8 from the field while sophomore
Tate Olson added 10 points and pulled in seven rebounds.

The Beavers end the regular season with a 13-15 record and begin the postseason Feb. 28 with a first-round matchup at Sioux Falls. Tip-off against the Cougars is scheduled for 6 p.m.
