MANKATO, Minn. – Bemidji State University Women's Basketball senior
Isabel Majewski scored 13 points to lead the Beavers but (RV) Minnesota State University, Mankato cruised to a 92-62 victory Saturday night Taylor Center to end the Beavers' 2023-24 season.
The Beavers finish the season with a 6-20 (3-19 NSIC) record while Minnesota State captures the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference regular season championship with a 20-2 league record and went 23-5 overall.
Bemidji State trailed by just four after the first quarter but were out-scored 53-33 over the next two quarters leading to the 30-point victory for Minnesota State.
Majewski paced the Beavers in scoring after she shot 5-of-13 from the field including 3-for-6 from three-point range. She was followed by sophomore
Alyssa Hill who went 6-for-6 from the floor for 12 points and collected six rebounds while adding two assists and two steals. Freshman
Sage Ganyo added a career-high 11 points on 4-for-7 shooting and collected two rebounds, two steals and earned three assists in a career-high 30 minutes.
The Beavers failed to qualify for the NSIC Women's Basketball Tournament ending the careers for three seniors, Majewski,
Amme Sheforgen and
Sam Pogatchnik.
