BEMIDJI, Minn. – After helping the Beavers sweep Ferris State University and advance to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Mason Cup Playoff Semifinals, Bemidji State University Men's Hockey freshman
Eric Pohlkamp has been tabbed the CCHA Defenseman of the Week.

Pohlkamp led the top-seeded Beavers to a Mason Cup Quarterfinal series sweep of eighth-seeded Ferris State last weekend, notching five points on three goals and two assists, to lead all CCHA defensemen. Two of his tallies came on the power play, while another was the overtime-winning goal in Game 1, which Bemidji State came back to win, 5-4. On Saturday, he scored twice in a 4-0 Beavers victory and totaled eight shots on goal and two blocks in the series.

The Brainerd, Minn., native earned his third weekly accolade from the CCHA and his second Defenseman of the Week honor.

He was joined by Lake Superior State's Connor Milburn (Forward), Minnesota State's Alex Tracy (Goaltender) and Michigan Tech's Isaac Gordon (Rookie) as weekly award winners.
