ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Bemidji State University Softball team fell in both games of its doubleheader at Missouri Western State University Saturday afternoon falling to the Griffons 9-0 in game one and 14-5 in game two.
The Beavers now fall to 6-15 on the season.
Bemidji State totaled three hits in game one but were held off the scoreboard by Griffon pitcher Sydney Rader.

Stephanie Ferguson each recorded base hits for the Beavers.
Senior
Stella Dolan earned the loss (5-7) after pitching two innings allowing seven runs off six hits and walked two. She was replaced by sophomore
Elle Hastings who pitched the final two innings and allowed just two runs (one earned) off five hits, didn't allow a walk and struck out one.
The Beavers started hot in game two scoring three runs in the first inning but the Griffons responded by scoring the next seven runs en route to their 14-5 five inning victory.
BSU totaled five runs off eight hits in the game led by
Alexa Christenson and Hastings who each earned two hits at the plate. Five different Beavers drove in runs.
Freshman
Danica Sarff earned the loss (1-4) pitching 1.2 innings and allowed six runs off four hits and walked five. She was replaced by Hastings who pitched 2.2 innings in relief and allowed eight runs (seven earned) off six hits and walked four.
Bemidji State concludes play in Missouri and its non-conference schedule tomorrow afternoon with a doubleheader at Northwest Missouri State University beginning at Noon.
