CLERMONT, Fla. – The Bemidji State University Softball team splits its first day at The Spring Games in Clermont, Fla., Saturday afternoon. The Beavers began the day with a 6-5 victory over Montana State University-Billings but fell 15-1 to West Virginia Wesleyan College.
The Beavers scored six runs off eight hits in their victory over MSU-Billings with
Aimee Christenson and
Jackie Larsen each collecting two hits. Christenson paced the Beavers with two RBI, drew a walk and stole a base.
Aubrey Aukerman and
Grace Gumiela each drove in a run with RBI singles.
Senior
Stella Dolan (4-3) earned her fourth win of the season and pitched her sixth complete game going all seven innings allowing five runs, four earned, off 1- hits and struck out two.
The Beavers will be back in action tomorrow evening and face California-Pennsylvania and Queens College at 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. CT to continue play at The Spring Games.
