Olivia Dronen scored for the second consecutive game but the Beavers fell to No. 1 Ohio State University 10-1 in game one of their Western Collegiate Hockey Association Playoffs opening series in Columbus, Ohio.

The Buckeyes (30-3-0) scored the first three goals before Dronen scored her second career goal 4:27 in the second period with a seeing-eye shot from the boards.

Eva Filippova started the game and played the first two periods stopping 30 shots while junior
Abbie Thompson played the final period and turned aside 22-of-25 shots she faced in the period.

The Beavers attempt to extend their season tomorrow afternoon for game two of the best-of-three series slated for 2:00 p.m. CT.
