Duncan-Busby competes at CFL Combine to gear up for CFL Draft April 30

Former BSU Football All-Region standout Dhel Duncan-Busby competes at CFL Combine

WINNIPEG, Manitoba. – Former Bemidji State University Football All-Super Region 4 and two-time All-NSIC First Team standout wide-receiver Dhel Duncan-Busby recently completed the Canadian Football League's (CFL) Combine to improve his stock in the 2024 CFL Draft.
 
Duncan-Busby is one of 72 of Canada's elite football phenoms who competed at the five-day showcase that featured traditional on-and-off the field testing, individual drills and one-on-ones in preparation of the 2024 CFL Draft which takes place on April 30.
 
Duncan-Busby finished fifth among all of those who participated in the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.56.

Originally hailing from Brampton, Ontario, Duncan-Busby was ranked as the No. 13 Canadian collegiate draft-eligible player by the CFL's Scouting Bureau released in January. He was named to the D2CCA All-Super Region 4 Second Team after earning All-NSIC First Team accolades following the 2023 season. He led the Beavers in receptions (49), receiving yards (825) and touchdowns (11) and had at least 50 receiving yards in 10 games including eclipsing 100 yards twice. Duncan-Busby had a touchdown reception in seven games and four multi-touchdown games.
 
He ended his collegiate career playing in 47 games totaling 171 receptions, 2,839 receiving yards, 27 touchdowns and averaged 16.6 yards per receptions. He ranks second on BSU's career receiving yards list, third in receptions, third in touchdown receptions and sixth in average yards per catch. His nine career 100-yard receiving games is the third most in program history.
 
The 2024 CFL Draft will take place in Toronto on April 30 at 7 p.m. CT following a CFL Global Selection Draft. The CFL Draft consists of eight rounds totaling 74 selections.
