SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Bemidji State University Baseball team fell in both games of its doubleheader against No. 23 Augustana University Saturday afternoon in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The Beavers (1-16, 0-7 NSIC) fell 7-0 in seven innings in game one and then fell 20-0 in seven innings in game two.

In the first game of the doubleheader,
Jack Munson,
Zach Evenson and
Beau Thoma each went 1-for-3 at the plate with Evenson recording the only extra-base hit with a double.

Freshman
Jacob Smith (0-4) pitched four innings and allowed six runs off five hits, walked two and struck out one earning the loss. Dylan Hedly then pitched one inning allowed one run, unearned, off one hit while
Lucas Pierce pitched the final inning and didn't allow a run and only gave up one hit.

Freshman
Matt Filippi collected two hits in game two and went 2-for-3 with two base hits to lead the Beavers while Thoma and
Konrad Kisch each recorded hits with Kisch hitting a double.

Sophomore
Christian Lindow (0-3) pitched 3.2 innings allowing eight runs, six earned, off seven hits, walked three and struck out four.
Daniel Pobuda,
Jack Hoffrogge,
Ty Schulte,
Ben Kornegay and
Carter Scanlon each came in to pitch the remaining 2.1 innings.

The Beavers will face the Vikings one final time for game four tomorrow at Noon.
