BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State Softball senior
Stella Dolan pitched her first complete game shutout of the season Sunday afternoon leading the Beavers to a split with Wayne State College at the BSU Softball Field. The Beavers finished the weekend 1-3 after falling in two games to Augustana University Saturday afternoon.
Dolan powered the Beavers to a 2-0 victory in game one against the Wildcats and collected the second shutout of her career. She earned her seventh win of the season (7-13) after pitching all seven innings for the 15
th time this season and allowed just four hits, one walk and struck out four batters.

Avery Amidon drove in the first and winning run with an RBI single in the second inning and then senior
Molly Houts added an insurance run for Dolan in the fifth with an RBI double. Houts finished with two hits in the game, batting 2-for-2 with a double, walk and RBI.
The Wildcats cruised to a 9-1 victory in game two to salvage the series split, winning by run rule after scoring a run in the first four innings. Bemidji State's lone run in game two came in the third inning when Houts hit an RBI single for her third hit of the day and finished the weekend driving in three of the Beavers' six runs.
Bemidji State's homestand comes to an end and will be on the road next week for six games beginning Tuesday, April 16. The Beavers will make the short road trip west to Crookston, Minn., and face University of Minnesota Crookston for a NSIC doubleheader.
